A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson

novel by Eva Ibbotson

Classy little piece of juvenile historical chick lit. I couldn’t put it down.

.

A Countess Below Stairs tells the story of Anna Grazinsky, a Russian countess forced to find refuge in England. To help provide for her impoverished family, she works as a temporary housemaid in the Westerholme estate. Her educated, graceful and charming personality endears her to the staff and the owners of the estate, particularly the new Earl of Westerholme, Rupert Frayne.

.

I’m off to play Suikoden 3 (AGAIN) so I’ll leave this at that. Oh, and that I stayed up ALL NIGHT just to finish this book. 8 hours, finished at 430 in the morning. I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN.
