Corazon Aquino

(In honor of the celebration of the EDSA People Power Revolution, I’ll post about the woman whom all Filipinos look up to.)

She was the Filipino symbol of liberty, hope, and peace. 25 years after the people took back the country, her son, now the leader, commemorates the peaceful revolution that united the people, that gave everybody hope. She may not have lived to see this 25th year, but I hope she’s still watching and praying for us.

  1. I don’t blame you for forgetting. Most of my fellow countrymen don’t even know that historic moment, which is truly lamentable. Her son ran for office after being persuaded when his mom, Cory, died.
