I’ve attempted 30-day blogging challenges before, but I don’t think I’ve ever successfully completed one until this one. I remember my old February NaBloPoMo challenge, but those were more of pictures and snippets of thoughts than actual blog entries, so I consider this A-Z Challenge my first successfully completed one.
At the start of this challenge I didn’t realize how big a community I was getting into. I just thought that I should just make sure I have a post up daily and leave it at that. I knew I had to visit at least five other participating blogs a day and comment, but the most I could do was visit, read, and like others’ blog posts.
And boy did I feel GUILTY because here were people who were visiting MY blog and liking and commenting! What have I done? Well, I have left comments, but I don’t think I put in enough effort. All I can say now is that I am eternally grateful to the people who have taken a few minutes of their day to read what I have to say especially since my current immediate peers can’t exactly relate to me.
So what have I taken away from this experience? An awareness of how instantly crappy my writing can be when I do it with only one hour worth of sleep for the day is one. Seriously though… I deeply admire and respect the people I’ve “met” through this challenge. Their words and pictures are inspiring, enlightening, entertaining, and thought provoking. So thank you, A-Z community. Until next year. 🙂
